With no printed catalogues available and no information beyond what is written on the original packaging, it is impossible to elaborate on the Kens produced under licence in Argentina by Top Toys. If the boxes were dated a year in advance of sale, like the regular Kens, then the Kens shown below were sold in 1986. I’ve yet to find an Argentinian Kenny that seems to belong to 1987, but Top Toys produced at least three other Kennys: Kenny Jewel Secrets (box dated 1988), Kenny Hawaii (similar to Island Fun Ken from 1988), and Kenny Sol y Mar (similar to Beach Blast Ken from 1989).
KENNY MAGIC BLUE
Kenny Magic Blue bears more than a passing resemblance to Mattel’s evening-outfitted Doctor Ken sold in 1988. This means that either the 1985 date on the Top Toys packaging is completely misleading, or the US doctor could have been inspired by this Argentinian Ken.
KENNY ROCK STAR
Once again, if the 1985 box date means a 1986 release, a Rock Star Ken was available in Argentina a year earlier than in the US. (In 1986 only a Rockstars Derek was released domestically).
